general Q about the FN key on laptops. how do you change the shortcuts that use the FN keys? For example, if I press FN + 1 it'll pop up My Documents, if i press FN + 2 it'll open Display Properties, and so on. I went to control panel -> keyboard, nothing there. my laptop manual doesnt say a word about how to customize the shortcuts. any ideas? thanks!

only easily done if your kb driver supports that. (my gateway does, for example) in which case it's configured from the CP.

Otherwise you could try a 3rd party app that records macros.

Little programs that you can setup to do things when certain keys are pressed. So basically, the macro program would capture the keypress before it did whatever it would normally do and do whatever you want it to do.
