Just bought a AOpen 1557GL, the kind you assemble yourself. The laptop got here, keyboard was defective, and I sent it back. In the meantime, I decided to partition the hard drive and install Win XP (via adapter, using my desktop). No problems. Keyboard came in yesterday, and I thought i was good to go. BUT NO! I turn on the laptop, the CD spins, the fan turns on, hard disk activity LED blinks a few times...and thats it. The power LED doesn't shine, th e display panel remains a (unlit) black, I can't use the VGA or s-video out, and the keyboard is dead. And yes, the power supply is plugged in, the battery is charges, and contrast is fine. Any ideas?
