i recently purchased a Lanzar d1200 off Jeeps4U. it is currently powering 2 12" w3v2's giving them around 350 a piece. The sound is amazing and the amp doesnt clip at all. i am very suprised at this. considering i paid 200 dollars for it. previously the subs were powered by the jl audio 500/1. of course this sounded very nice too, but i cannot make a difference from the jl and lanzar amps.
so before you go spending XXXX amount on your next amp, consider the above.
next week the amp will be put to the test. 1200 watts to a 12" Brahma.

i think i agree with 04 now, all amps sound the same.

when it comes to powering a SPL based sub requiring alot of wattage, you dont have to spend an assload to get the job done.

Now he didn't say all amps make their rated power without 17 volts or dying.

It's a 1200d not d1200. I've heard alot of good things about that amp. Does anyone know if they are actually stable to 1 ohm?

They are supposed to be stable to 1ohm. I personally set up the two i installed as running 2ohm loads, and they have worked perfectly. I head that some of the older versions would blow up under 1ohm loads sometimes, but the newer ones are supposed to work fine.

I didn't notice a difference in sound quality.
