I see jewelry as an art form, and love when people custom design their engagement ring or right hand ring.

I don't know why, but I'm just fascinated with a well designed diamond solitaire.

One of the most amazing sapphires I've ever seen - the best part is this ring is an heirloom from the owner's Mother In Law.

I'm partial to a nice Emerald Cut, and this one is phenomenal

Beauty on a budget - this entire set with a .26 ct. Hearts and Arrows diamond was about $1,400.

The designer is Leon Mege, one of the best bespoke diamond vendors in NYC and arguably, the entire US. This is his website - http://artofplatinum.com/start/enter.htm

I've heard that Leon considers himself an artiste and is hard to work with because he kind of does what he feels suits your stone best, but when customer and vendor click, he does some amazing, intricate (or very simple, but very highly detailed) work.

I'm having a 3 stone emerald cut ring made right now with his work as my inspiration. I'll post it when I pic it up next weekend. :)

I'm not normally a fan of rings, but I went with my friend to Tiffany tonight to help him look for a gift for his wife. I wandered over to the men's section where the sales girl insisted I try on some titanium rings I was checking out. They don't have the exact one that I fell in love with, but it looked sorta like this, with the atlas roman numerals engraved in it. So pretty :wtc:

That's my favourite. I have an Asscher engagement ring, and for some reason, I'm just in love with the cut - seems very classy and understated along the lines of an Emerald cut, but even more so, IMO.

Speaking of Emerald Cuts - my birthday pressie from the hubby!

Do any of the guys here wear multiple bracelets? I saw this a lot in europe and liked it but I wouldn't know where to buy them...usually a mix of leather and metal, and two or three bracelets.

    I dont wear bracelets anymore.

now if I'm accesorizing, usually just my fancy watch on one wrist and at most some random accesory on the other.

You have to understand the mentality over there - plants/flowers are generally the backdrop for the best jewelry pics. They're nuts. ;)

And yes, I would venture to guess that ring was astoundingly expensive. The 2.30 ct. sidestones had to cost close to $20k EACH!

It's amazing, that forum is a hotbed for insanely wealthy people - whether it's the woman who earns her own or her rich husband, but most of those have center stones or solitaires around the 2-3 ct. range.

It's uncommon to see an over 10 tcw. ring on pricescope, so when it happens, everyone falls all over themselves.

Although I like the style and design of that ring, I think it's about 5-6 cts. too big for ANYONE to wear without looking like they're ridiculously overcompensating. :dunno:
