Ya so before I can become broly, I need to become non-fat. Took me some time to come to grips with this. I weighed in at 217 this morning at 5'9". Target weight is 185-190 while maintaining muscle mass. My blood pressure today was 137/84 which isnt that high but 120/80 is ideal especially since I have a family history of hypertension and heart attacks.

This log is gonna be a log of my caloric intake as much as anything else. My lifting schedule is pretty set.

Im going to aim for 2000calories per day. I lift 5 days per week and do cardio the other 2 days.

This is me at 190 with almost no muscle mass about 1.5 - 2 years ago.

This is me at ~220 last weekend:

ok, added although as long as i dont actually lose strength while trying to lose 30lbs, i'll be happy

btw, ive been lifting for about 2 months this time

    previously, i lifted for a 3 month period in 2002 and a 2 month period in 2004

You can actually gain strength while dieting but it won't be caused by muscle hypertrophy, just neural adaptation.

I disagree.. you CAN gain muscle and lose Fat. Maybe not at a pro body builder level. but at the BF level kumar and i are at.. there is no reason not to put on muscle while losing fat.

I was kinda pissed off so I cut down on the exercises but just lifted heavier.

    lat pulldowns
    1 x 15 75lbs
    2 x 10 120lbs
    2 x 8 150lbs

    seated row
    1 x 10 120lbs
    3 x 8 150lbs

    SLDLs
    1 x 12 135lbs
    4 x 6-8 225lbs (grip was failing)

    barbell curls
    3 x 8 80lbs

    DB preacher
    2 x 8 30lbs

    150 calories burned on treadmill

Im gonna be more strict on my calories and only eat stuff that I can add up. Im doing too much guessing on take out food.
