The ultimate badass, Ving Rhames is playing Kojak in a new show on USA. There was a blurb about it in last weeks Maxim saying something like "this isn't your Dad's Kojak" because apparently it's even more gritty and violent. I'm intrigued. Anyone else know anything about it?

    **Bump**

Saw a commercial for this last night, and it definitely peaked my interest even more...apparently it starts soon--March 25th. I'm looking forward to seeing Ving Rhames start to kick some serious ass. Others seen the ads?

Ah, Ving Rhames...huggable as can be...unless he's got a gun to your head or is throwing you around. I saw that this show premieres on Friday for 2 hours, but then moves to Sunday...what's the story their? I assume the episodes after this one will be an hour each instead of two?

Well the old Kojak always had a lolly because he quit smoking. So the lolly was kind of his thing.

I read that Kojak was the highest ratings for a cable show so far this year, so a lot of people must have watched, what did people like or dislike about the Kojak premiere this past Friday/Sunday?

I watched last week and I was hoping to see a little more Rosleyn. I am hoping that we see some action on Sunday. Roselyn caught my eye, but I have been really impressed with Ving. I think he brings a lot of character to the role of Ving.

Yeah the last episode was pretty focused on just Ving after he swapped himself for the hostage. I thought the last episode was even better than the premiere--I really liked the whole failed jewel heist plot line. But what about that woman kicking the crap out of Kojak! I mean c'mon, how was she able to do that?

That ep. was great. I loved the way she tossed him through the window... priceless.

When Ving gets worked up, though... I wouldn't want to get in his way...

Yeah Ving is like a Mac truck or an out of control frieght train. After some softness in the last couple episodes, I think we're due for some serious ass kicking by Kojak on the episode tommorrow night.

Funny you should mention that Mac truck bit...
Did anyone see on last night's show that guy get flattened by that truck cruising by?
That was awesome, and a total surprise.
