A&P Kodak

    What do you guys think of kodak when it comes to digital cameras? more specifically what do you think about the kodak dx6490 camera?

    it's the best in their consumer cameras product list, but personally, I'd look at the Minolta z1 or soon to be released z2, Olympus c-750 or spend the extra bucks and get the Panasonic fz10. 12x optical zoom, Leica lens with image stabilizer and up to 4 frames a second. If only it took CF and had a bigger battery.

    kodak should be the first camera on your list if all you care about is ease of use. if you value image quality, you need to look elsewhere. The 6490 is a neat toy, it feels great and looks cool, but the images come out like ass, unless (rather ironically) you learn the camera inside and out... something that will take alot of time and dedication.

    thxs for the much needed insight guys. im most likely going to wait till canon releases their powershot S1 IS camera. Looks like the features i want it has, plus the great image quality that comes with a canon. just gotta see what there's to say about it
