    Depends on the situation too. You won't always have time and/or room to pull out and extend a baton. If you know what's coming, I'd put my money on a baton though.

    It all depends on the situation. If I was ready for the attack I think I'd go with the baton because it'd allow for the most distance.

    Id say the baton weilder since you can be furrther away. But if the knife was as long as the baton Id go with the knife.

    If you have two people standing in front of you, one with a 26" baton and the other with an Emerson CQC7, both guys of equal size, I'd rather take on the guy with the baton. If he swings at your head, most likely he'll glance off your arm, shoulder, back... The plus is range, but look at the old Rodney King vid, he was taking baseball swings everywhere by multiple guys with PR 24's and got beat up but survived.

    knifes are more frightening then a baton, that has to be brought into consideration

    They were also doing stun type control shots. They weren't trying to break bones.
