Does anyone know who makes a decent knife this size (2 3/4" Minuteman 2 Blade)? My dad had one but got it confiscated at the air show. His birthday is coming and I want to buy him a replacement that is actually worth a damn- this one never seemed to keep an edge. Benchmade doesn't seem to make anything that small. Any other ideas? I know he won't carry it if its too big.

any benchmade is comfortable to carry everyday.

but i would suggest a kershaw onion, i carry that all day everyday, it's compact with assisted open :big grin:

It doesn't need to be that style necessarily, just something that size. One blade will be ok.

A Ken Onion Chive with a S30v blade would be pretty tits IMO.

Ive never had any of my kershaws break, hell I threw one at a steel wall a good 100 times and the only thing that was falling off was the side clip but it just needed to be tightened

my 1660 hasn't yet... i've had it around a year, and it's opened a minimum of 5 times a day... it's still sharp, and on the factory edge even. :dunno:

There are tons of knives with assisted open. All of the kershaws I've had didn't have the best blade quality. I say get a Japanese made Spyderco or SOG.

I know nothing about those old timer knives :o
