They any good? There's a SOG factory or something near my gf's work and they have factory direct pricing. Just curious if they're any good. I haven't gone in there yet to look at what they cost. Like to get something decent but not worth a whole lot.

Maybe looking to spend around 50 to 60 bucks? :dunno: Not sure though, never really looked into knives.

They're no Benchmade, but they're decent blades for the price.

I've heard a lot about Benchmade. But since there's the SOG factory near my gf's work and they have whole sale pricing there, figured why not? Plus I probably wouldn't be using it a whole lot.

Benchmade, Kershaw, and CRKT all have factories in NW OR if you ever make it down that far.

SOG makes good knives, I had no idea they were in WA. There's so many freaking knife companies in this area.

Yeah, I was going over to my gf's school where she teaches and I saw a sign outside that said, SOG Knives Factory Direct Prices Knives for Sale. I was like, wtf, they're in Lynnwood? I thought it was just a distributor center but its the actual factory when I looked it up online. It was one block from her work, so I'll have to go in there and check it out.

Although I do like my Flash II, I prefer my Benchmade 530. It's much slimmer and lighter. Fits better in the pocket.

I've had a SOG - clip broke way too many times for my liking - now have a Benchmade.

  16. I carry a SOG Trident all the time. I love it. My clip has never broken, and I know 2 other guys who carry SOG knives all day and their clips have never broken either. They're great knives. I've never actually visited the factory though.

I carry a Trident as well. It's served me well through daily carry, and various situations requiring vigorous use. The clip is solid. Should something go awry, the lifetime warranty will handle it, and SOG is good with a quick turn around. They tend to put nice touches like tuning the blade and body up as well for free.

SOG doesn't warranty the clip. I've broken it three times now.

They replaced my close friend's clip as well on a Flash 1 for free. I don't know what the deal with the aforementioned is.
