I always try to go into much detail as possible :mamoru:

Edge depends on what you want to do with it, I personally prefer a straight edge but if you find yourself cutting alot of cord and what not go with serrated.

    Thanks 7.
Pretty much every knife I have is serrated but I was thinking of maybe going plain.
How is the 154 CM? I don't know a thing about metals, etc.

I love mine, but I really wouldnt consider the Vector large. The mini UMS looks pretty solid, and you can expect it to be considering its price tag.

    What did the company do?
Any other place to get it for that price or lower. The next lowest I could find was about $10 higher.

I have had a Paragon about that size for nearly 6 years now and I love it. I can't remember the exact name of it but I was thinking of getting the mini UMS at the time. I'm not sure why I didn't. Looks like a very comparable knife. Oh, and the price was ridiculous to me at the time (I paid about the same) but now I think of it as one of the best investments I have ever made.

Mine is ATS-34 steel which I believe is somewhere similar to this one. I hated serrated blades but for some reason ended up with partially serrated on mine. Now I wouldn't have anything else. Really is the best of both worlds.

Yeah, they are legal to own, not legal to walk around with though (to my knowledge in this state anyway....) There are some similar things that are smaller, mainly made by Dalton I think. Pretty trick little things! Very expensive though.... I believe it was called the Cupid, very similar is the ProTech Tantilla. Check www.knifezilla.com

Oh, here is a nice one http://216.71.158.68/webcat/333utx70.shtml

Since I'm a knife newb this may be obvious but are these knives (halo II , Microtech UTX70) the kind that the blade comes straight out of the handle rather than from the side?
