I just bought my frist knife yesterday from a store in the mall. I got a black Spyderco Meadowlark for a few reasons. 1 Its small so its easy to carry, I hate having big bulky items in my pockets. 2. It has a half serated blade, I prefer serated blades. 3. Most importantly it was cheap! $44 CDN taxes in.

Today I went to a Army Surplus store and I found another Spyderco knife the ATR Black with a serated blade. I liked it, looks sweet, but its expensive... $225 CDN before taxes. I found some on ebay for $116 USD shipped but I want the knife crews opinion on this particular model. Im also open to other cool models since Im a noobie knife crew member, but I'd like to keep my costs around 100 130 USD before shipping/taxes. TIA!

    ITs WHORE TIME! :big grin:

Get yourself a Benchmade 557S Mini-Griptilian. It should not run you more than $75 with shipping and handling on eBay.

Spydercos are nice. But if I had to pick one it would be a full size griptillian from benchmade.

I have no willpower. I went to see what a local store had in stock. They had it, and I bought it. ITs funny up until wednesday I had no idea what a spyderco was.... 250 bones and 2 days later I got 2? WTF I hate myself.

I will sell you my Benchmade 553S for a good price if you want to return one of those Spyderco knives. It is still in excellent shape and barely used.

I saw one of those yesterday while I was picking up this ATR. Spyderflys are sexy.

I will try to have pics up by tomorrow.

The knife has barely been used. I only used it to get some vinyl off of a wall and that is pretty much all of the dirty work I have done with it thus far.

The cover box is bent in on one side but other than that, the box is in great shape. I still have all of the items that came with it.

$60 is my asking price. Shipping and handling will be roughly $5(?) plus insurance and/or delivery confirmation if you want it.

nice knives. Those styles are pretty good, though Im not to big on the spyderco style, with teh thubhole and blade shape. But they are definatly great knives, i have seen some that i really liked. I like my benchmade mini griptillian with teh 556 blade (half serated, regular light curve) for carrying.

Should I send this out to you, will USPS give me crap about mailing a knife out to someone?

Hopefully they do not charge extra because it is out of the US.
