    That is depressing shit.

If the infants had guns this could have been prevented.

I would have settled for one of those 6 adults to be able to protect the kids but maybe some of the kids can handle .22's ;)

And that's why we have the 2nd Amendment here. The cops can't be everywhere at once, nor would I want them to be.

I really don't see this as much of a case for ccw as more of a case for having a buffer between the visitors and the children. Like a locked door.

The door is a good idea too of course (guns are never the only answer, they're the last resort), but people come and go. What do you do when the nut is a parent, or the ups guy, or someone just forgot to pull the door closed behind them?

The bottom line is we not only have totally helpless people watching our kids, we want them to be totally helpless. Its dumb.

Holy shit, that nursery got a storefront window or something? Any place around here with a maternity ward requires passing through at least two security doors and being buzzed in by the floor staff. Certainly enough to keep a random wacko from walking in and stabbing babies.

but haven't you said in this very forum that you think those who conceal carry are crazy rednecks compensating for their tiny cocks?

the 2nd amendment is great, but many states won't allow your gun to leave your home. this could have happened alot of places in amercia and the incident would have been as equally gun and defense free as it was across the pond.

I do think that people who walk around with a gun all the time are compensating for insecurities, though I never said anything about tiny cocks specifically.

All that aside, a Taser would've worked just as well as a gun in this case. More importantly, it's non-lethal, which would make it much more reasonable to carry around children.

The door idea is a good one too. </understatement> Have a little reception area with a maglock door to get to the main room(s); that plus a dude with a Taser will stop anyone who doesn't specifically have business with the children.

Why would you use a less lethal weapon on someone who is clearly capable and already has used deadly force?

So why do you believe police carry guns as well as tasers?

This was more of the "locked door" concept I was talking about. Almost all of the public schools (elementary and middle schools) around here are like that too. You have to get buzzed in.

I must admit, I carry a gun all the time and I am compensating for an insecurity. The insecurity is that of the other guy walking around that wants to cause me harm and having a gun himself.

If someone is wielding a knife, the last thing I want to do is have to close distance to neutralize the threat.
