I like Kimbo and think he has alot of potential that article pretty much summed it up pretty well for me.

Inexperienced VS C Grader is not a main event... Kimbo didnt look impressive his gas was shit he looked sloppy and vunerable against a guy he should have dominated.

This guy is biased. This was MMA's first network tv show and they had to do a little mma101 skit to start the show. The televised card was stacked with fights that should end with knockouts. Does this guy even know the fighters? I'm not surprised with the total fight time....nothing unusual here.

the broadcast mentioned baronis recent record several times.

I agree the WEC event was way better than EliteXC card. Aside from Gina Carano/Young fight and the Robbie Lawler fight was decent. the Kimbo fight had lost it's excitement going into the 2nd round. where as i stood almost the entire faber/pulver fight and the bantemweight title fight before that. imo Gina Carano/Young should have been the main event, co main event with the title fight not fucking kimbo slice vs that fail boat, that just exposed kimbo for how much work he really fucking needs.

Sure man. Think about how Melvin Guillard has acted (another young guy from the 'streets' who has drug problems.

I'm just saying, to a lot of people he's going to have to prove that he's not some one trick pony who smokes a lot of weed and has heavy hands when he fights in empty parking lots. The fact that he got up and didn't immedately start in with how great he is and how he's ready for a title fight and this and that makes me respect him a whole lot more.

I said a fighter with 3 fights, not a fighter with 30+ fights.

    Great comparison.

As someone who knows kimbo (not well, but I've had a few chances to speak with the man) he's a humble cat. he could have 10 or 20 fights and i see him acting the sameway.

Ryan, you met a good friend of mine this weekend (if not prior) Seth (big white guy bodyguarding Kimbo).

Kimbo was under alot of stress before this fight. From how I interpreted what I was told he doesn't want all the spotlight he's getting. It wears him out. Then again I could have interpreted it wrong.

well i dont know about stressed but i think he should take half a year to just train at a decent pace and get his game up to where it needs to be to face a decent opponent.

I thought that event was better than some UFC events. The guy who wrote that article probably has no business talking about MMA, since he's probably only been a fan for a two or three years... At least that's the impression I get from his article.

First I quoted this and was like WTF is wrong with this person. Then I saw who posted it.

Better than UFC events. This was about on par with UFC 10, so I'll give you that, it was produced better and had better match ups than 1-9. But thats about it.
