i'm looking at the stainless steel version, maybe ad hogue grips. i have a Sig 226ST 9mm and a .40, never owned a .45 and am a little concerned about recoil but every review i've read says great things about it. thanks for your 2 cents.

Slimmer. Some people like an external safety (not me), SAO, it's heavy so if you run out of bullets you can hit some one with it, Capacity may suck but carry an extra mag, nothing looks quite as scary as a 1911 with a big ass 45 barrel staring at you (ibsoletmepointa9mmatyouandseehowscaredyouare)

Means you know what people are going to say, exactly what you posted. This renders your subsequent post useless.

    Like a fr0ng post...

He should follow every post with IBhatemecuzimstupid. Cuz he gets hated when he doesn't, which is every post.

Those little 45's have a lot of muzzle jump on 'em. If you really wanted to carry a 45 sub compact, check out the HK's, or a Glock 30sf.

You must not ever shoot it. Pretty hard to have problems with something when it sits in the safe.

I love 1911's, but the using a micro version for carry never really excited me. Less capacity, more weight and more of a pita to take apart. My friend has a Kimber micro with crimson trace grips and he needs an allen wrench to break it down.

I carried a Ultra Carry II for about a year, daily. Tab heavy and the butt is a little long. Need a IWB holster with a slight cant to hide it better.

I like mine but if I could actually carry it would probably be a G26 or 642

Love mine! Carry it everyday. I've put ~1000 rounds through it without a problem.

Maybe try for a 4" barrel version with a government size frame. if you want something with less bite.

Micro 1911's aren't known as the most reliable thing in the world, much less a Kimber on top of it.
