sounds like a good price imo :coold:

kimbers are great and iirc only the short concealed models have issues.

not the best 1911s but in my experience i've never had an issue with one.

only heard bad things about the short concealed ones :dunno:

  5. Not a bad price. For all the Kimber hate around here there isn't anyone here I know of who actually has a problem with their Kimber. You can find forum posts talking about problems from all gun manufacturers, and since Kimber sells a lot of 1911s, it makes sense that you'd hear more about theirs. Even if Kimbers do have more problems than average, you have to consider the use of the gun. If it's just a range gun, then don't worry about it. If you are going to use it for CCW, then I'd probably rethink the whole idea of a 1911.

I just posted here with a similar question. Picking up a Kimber Tactical Pro II today for $550. There's a lot of hate on the web for them, but as with most things - the satisfied people are out shooting and the people who aren't are inside bitching on the web. It sounds like a great deal - do it!

Provided it's not beat to hell, doesn't sound like a bad deal.

I sold a blued stainless II with VZ grips for that much a while back, and would have rather had the stainless steel than the grips.

The gun likely isn't going to depreciate much from what you bought it for, so worse case scenario you just sell it and get your money back.

Good Price for a good gun. Check the fit/finish and the bore before you buy, just like you should on any weapon really.

Alot of the kimber hate could had been avoided if people would actually look at the gun before buying it.

Picked up my tac pro II today (used) and put 100 rounds through it, not a hitch. Good luck with your new gun!

Thanks I just wish these 4" 1911's were field strippable without the lame ass "L" tool.
