Kimber Warrior checking in! Ooh Rah, KILL BODIES, and all that good stuff.

I had the Ultra Carry II before, I loved it. It is ridiculously small, so easy to conceal, with the way the small Kimbers springs are set up, they reduce a lot more recoil than other manufacturers compact 1911.

FWIW, Kimber's customer service is great!

Good luck, you won't be disappointed!!!

The only people who bag on Kimbers in here are the ones that never owned one. But they all have a "friend" who has had nothing but problems with theirs. :mamoru:

With that said, I was at the range last week and the guy next to me had a brand new Kimber and had double feed. I dont know what happened but he called me over to clear it. This was with the mag that came with the gun. He had a McCormick mag that didnt have any problems. He let me shoot a few rounds through it and the gun was accurate and trigger was nice. Recoil was comparable, maybe even less than my CZ 75B.

You're trying too hard. Not just this post, but in general.

I'd take a Springfield Armory over a Kimber.

My Dad has a Kimber Gold Match and it took about 500-600 rounds before everything smoothed out. He had stove pipes, FTFs, and a few FTEs. He bought his long before they started to increase the number of MIM parts.

My 4" CDP has been OK, customer service is good. It took awhile to get it tuned and running properly... :dunno:

brother has a kimber and its awsome. I have heard that the mags can be an issue sometimes, but there isnt any shortage of quality aftermarket mags. He hasnt had a single problem. I have shot it many times and it shoots wonderfully.

I love my Kimbers. There are other choices out there, and I've heard about all kinds of failures with the series II pistols, but mine work for me. That's all that really matters.

External extractors and Kimber don't give me the warm/fuzzy.

If you are deadset on getting it, I'd ditch the mags first and foremost. Kimber mags are shit, and account for a lot of the problems associated. I run Wilson's exclusively in any/all (45acp) 1911's, and reccommend them highly (as do just about anyone else who's ran them, if that tells you something). \

I'd buy a Custom II or a comparable Springer and send it out before I'd fork over that kind of dough for one. (I even know a guy who would sell you such a base gun...... :naughty::wavey:)

Or a Dan Wesson if you were regulated to box stock. They make good/great guns from my experience with them (and are a much better value then Kimbers IMO).

Here is mine. Nothing too fancy, but it does work. And rather well at that. Can't remember any FTF or FTE from this piece.
