    tle II = regular tle
tle II (lg)= crimson trace laser grips
tle II (rl) = railed frame for accessories

I think you would do better buying a cheap used Springer loaded/Kimber Custom II and sending it off to the 'smith of your choice to have them work it over.

If you must buy factory, I'd rather take a Dan Wesson over a Kimber anyday.

I hadn't really heard about them either until a buddy picked up a Pointmen 7, and then a CBOB. I was incredibly impressed by the quality of the parts list, the fitting of said parts, and the price. His DW's shot 9/10'ths as good as the high end 1911's I had. Only thing I'd change would be having a good 'smith work on the trigger (they weren't bad, I just prefer a lighter break myself) and a dehorn job (they come kinda/sorta sharp). I seriously think that they represent one of the best buys at the moment in 1911's.

You could spend a whole lot more money, to get less.

EGW built Colts, Custom Springers (Joe Barnsfather), Wilson's, Kimber Gold Match, is what I was comparing it to.

Though I'll concede that the finish is probably less than 9/10 compared to some of those (Wilson + Kimber specifically), I was more implying that the performance of my bud's DW's was nearly equal to the above 1911's.

    Dude, sights are cheap/easy.

"Factory" sights are going to be different depending on what "factory" you are getting them from. If you can't find the ones you like, flip them and get the ones you do.
