So far I'm about 3 hours in. I just got my ps3 2 days ago so it may be me; but the controls in this game feel slow as fuck to me. I can't aim for shit, and the sniper is my favorite part of fps's and in this game i'm terrible with it. I'm hoping it's not just me sucking with this ps3 controller.

The sniper rifle as a motion control mechanic. Move the controller, the worse your aim. Keeping it steady is equivalent to the R3 button to hold your breath in COD.

Also, imo the sniper sucks (I just cant use it that well) and the game is not meant to be a twitch shooter like COD or Halo. Keep playing, you'll get the hang of it and enjoy the game.

    Dude, do yourself a favour.

Go online and download the patch.

Then go back to single player and play with "high precision controls".

    Should be better for you.

Also if you haven't switch the control scheme to alternate 2. It's more in line with most fps

the game definitely has a different feel than most FPS games. I completely sucked at first too. adjust the controls, use high precision and you'll be fine.

also the heaviness is intentional. I think they wanted a more realistic feel as opposed to PC fps games where you swing the mouse and turn around in a tenth of a second.

:werd: everyone complains about the controls, it takes a little bit of time to get use to. i picked up the demo when it first came out and after 2 or 3 mins, i had it down. some people get it quicker than others.

    Dude, it's you.

Put the game away, insert "Bad Company: Battlefield," $19.99. Play it in Easy, first. Then play it in Normal. Then play it on Hard. As you play, adjust the control sensitivity. By the time you get to play it in Hard you'll be able to almost fly. Crouching will become second nature. Sniping will be a breeze.

In Easy you'll be able to play it like "Unreal Tournament", being able to take many hits. On normal you'll be able to take half a dozen hits. In hard one sniper shot will cause your 100% health to go down to 40%. Two shots from the machine gun and you're dead. One shot from a tank and you're dead.

Then pick up KZ2. You should be able to breeze right through it. Unless it has that damned "Gears of War" cover and roll mechanic.

"Resistance: Fall of Man" is another great PS3 game.

All FPS games take awhile to get used to the controls. Just have patience. Start it on easy. Adjust the controls as you go. Before you know it the credits will be rolling.

    Good luck.

The constant sentry turrets being spawned by everyone all the time killed the multiplayer for me. That shit was so annoying. Game had a lot of potential though.

There were certain maps where I didn't like the fact that I had to run for fucking ever if my team didn't have a spawn grenade going.

playing with randoms FTL they dont understand the need for spawn points that are worth a shit etc... and i dont like the turrets too much either, but never swayed me from playing, they are easy enough to take out.

One other thing that always confused me. That one huge map with the red dust flying all the time...100% of the time I always spawned on the same end. I never got to spawn on the other end with the big fort or whatever. I never understood this.

thats how the game works, theres bases. if you are on the other faction, you spawn there. it never changes

right, I get that. what I'm saying is no matter what faction I was, I only ever got to spawn at that one end. I was never on the right team to spawn at the other base. I never understood why either, I always wanted to be on that other side with the bigger base :wtc:

I played that map a lot too.

the game definitely gets more playable as you progress.

i found that i was able to really help my team once i was able to set spawn grenades and turrets. for example, when there's a "defend this spot" mission, i just kept using my two spawn grenades to keep my guys spawning at that spot. why nobody else ever seemed to do this, i don't know.

One other thing that pissed me off was being in the OT clan with like 30 people and we played zero clan matches because noone wanted to lose :ugh:

i wasnt afraid to lose, we just never played a match :dunno: i could easily lead a game as a sniper or anyone with a assault rifle, it was a piece of cake to work bitches in that game.
