I have a SB-800 so I don't know if yours would be the same. On mine, I set the camera to Commander mode and Channel 2. The flash, I set to Remote and the same Channel and Group B (I think... there's 3 groups, A/B/C). Then turn on your on camera flash and set your sync in the camera... then the camera controls the flash from there. The first time you see it go off, it makes you :eek3:

    I have a D80 and a SB600. That's the setup.

They say its best to have a line of site from the flash to the camera, although I've put it in some funny places and it has still fired (bounced light). Very cool stuff...

I had the flash sitting on the ground w/ the infrared pieces completely covered, still fired. :eek3:

:werd: I like the pic and love his expression, I'd just pull off a bit of the vignetting or brighten the whole pic.

I was going for the 'holy light' look :mamoru:

The living room was perfectly lit and the flash was just a tad brighter than the lighting.

I've used it with the pop up to fire a 600 with my D80, you get some good stuff.
