Nice shot! ive been curious about commander mode but havent used it yet.. care to give the cliff notes on using it? I have a d300 and sb600
I have a SB-800 so I don't know if yours would be the same. On mine, I set the camera to Commander mode and Channel 2. The flash, I set to Remote and the same Channel and Group B (I think... there's 3 groups, A/B/C). I have a D80 and a SB600. That's the setup.
They say its best to have a line of site from the flash to the camera, although I've put it in some funny places and it has still fired (bounced light). Very cool stuff...
I had the flash sitting on the ground w/ the infrared pieces completely covered, still fired.
I like the pic and love his expression, I'd just pull off a bit of the vignetting or brighten the whole pic.

The living room was perfectly lit and the flash was just a tad brighter than the lighting.
I've used it with the pop up to fire a 600 with my D80, you get some good stuff.
