It's been great bulking up for 9 years from 165 to 255 at my highest but I've decided to try to trim some fat off finally and get down to around 9-10% body fat and whatever weight I need to be at to achieve that. I am hoping to be around 230 at the end of this but will go down to 220 if needed. I am at my strongest point right now with a bench of 315x10 (pr set last week), dead at 505x5, and squat at 405x5 (have gotten out 425x5 before, legs being hit hard by cardio I'm not use to).

About 4 weeks ago I started jogging and weighed in at 252lbs with around 13-14% body fat. With just doing cardio once to twice per day along with my normal lifting of 5 days a week I've dropped down to 244lbs.

Today was my first serious day of watching what I ate and trying some low carb, moderate fat, and high protein diet. I dont' feel as shitty as I thought I would. I know I'm going to suck at this until I iron out the details and get the stupid mistakes out of the way

    Today's diet so far:

    Meal 1:
2 scoops muscle milk in water
    Multi vitamin
    NAC
    3 caps flax seed oil

    Meal 2:
    6 egg whites
    10-15 Almonds no salt

    Bike ride ~20 Miles

    Meal 3:
Medium sized portion of broccoli and brown rice
    4 caps fish oil

    Meal 4:
2 scoops on whey in water
6 slices turkey breast lunch meat

    1 hour nap

    Meal 5:
    10oz top sirloin
    Medium portion of asparagus
    1 medium salad

    pre work out:
    Coffee and Caffeine cap

    Train-Legs/abs

10oz orange juice 2 scoops on whey

Trying to decide if I should eat anything else before bed normally go to sleep at ~2am and get home from the gym at midnight

The way my schedule works out I really only have time to train after work and I hate going at 530-6 when the gym is packed. So I usually take a nap around that time, then eat, then wait a couple hours and leave for the gym at 10ish. I've gotten in the habit of doing it this way for a couple of years now.

The main difference in regards to training will be actually doing cardio. I was obsessed with gaining size and didn't want to burn any precious pounds off. I realize this was stupid but coming from 6'3" 165lbs my main goal was just to not be skinny anymore.

In regards to diet I will be cutting out the vast majority of the process garbage I was eating in between my main meals. I'd normally get up and start off good with a shake and oatmeal but then an hour later get the urge for something else and eat something packed with sodium or sugar. Then I'd eat a sandwich for lunch with wheat bread and lean turkey but have 2 servings of potato chips with it. I was also getting in the bad habit of eating TV dinners when I was too lazy to make something, most of those have well over 1000mg of sodium and shitty carbs obviously. I guess in short I'm just trying to show some restraint :noes:

Weighed in at 240lbs on the button today.

~15 mile bike ride at noon
    1 1/4 mile run at 11pm
    Trained bi's and abs

Diet was pretty much the same as previous days but ate some granola bars today since I was craving junk food and figured that would be better than eating a whole pizza or box of doughnuts :noes:

Diet wasn't the greatest today since I had to take some clients out to Thai food for lunch but I kept it pretty clean otherwise. Down another pound today to 239.

Worked shoulders, traps, cardio, then abs.

Still at 239 today but didn't get to do my lunch cardio session due to a meeting. Diet was clean with under 50 carbs today. Worked legs and ran about mile and a half. Feelin' good

Is the 7th day a cheat day? Carb up day? or do you just roll back into days 1-3 after days 4-6?
