A&P Keywording Photos...

    How ever you organize your photos, I'm sure you probably put keywords on them for easy searching.

    I'm curious to hear how you guys keyword your photos. How in depth do you get? Do you go as far as putting the lens used as a keyword?

    Do you only keyword for the main focus of the picture? Or do you keyword for everything in the picture? For example, if you have a picture of your dogs, but in the background you can see someones face, do you just keyword it for the dogs or for the person also?

    Still trying to setup my keyword scheme. Just trying to get ideas to make things easier.

    i typically label the folders as "YYYY_MM_DD - subject matter"

    I just starting using iPhoto for organizing my pics. It's been helping a lot instead of using just folders with date and event name.

    I use "/YYYY/MM/Subject Name"...

    I used to do that but I had too many subfolders and couldn't find anything.. so now I'm switching :o

    as an FYI you can view lens/camera etc info via lightroom metadata

    I use collections more than keywords :hs:

    I was trying to decide how to handle all the random daily pictures I take. Making a folder for 3 pictures on a certain date seemed overkill, so I just made a monthly "random pictures" folder.
