Has anyone tried it? What are your thoughts on it? I was watching the making of Batman Begins and this is the style used in the film and it looks pretty interesting.

It's like JKD concepts. It's a mix of many arts such as jkd, kali, silat, sambo, bjj, etc. If you want to try something different that's meant for for the street, it's a good way to go.

better yet, a gun. Guns > knives.

But I think that if you want to practice the martial art, you should do some research beforehand. I definitely wouldn't want to do something just because it was in a movie...

especially batman begins. not that it was a bad movie, just that you can't SEE anything in any of the fight scenes!!

That's true. The filmmakers had to choose an art that was well rounded and would look good on film. There's stick and knife fighting in it as well. But they still had to cut like mad probably since it's quite a chore to pull off moves while wearing a heavy ass suit.

yeah I mean, I didn't see any martial arts at all in that movie, but it was ok with me. the fight scenes in previous batman movies failed to convey how badass batman is supposed to fight, as you said fighting in a giant heavy stiffnecked rubber suit is most likely a huge bitch.
