Didnt have a very good night as far as shooting goes. Im hopped up on allergy medicene and had a very hard time concentrating. Pretty mad at myself for mucking it up so bad but Ill just have to learn more for next time.

Also, unfortunately, the paper I shoot for only cared about this first game. Its the only one that will happen before the print deadline and they want something different for the next issue.

First few are from the end of the game that was going when I got there and the rest are from the game I was supposed to cover.

I like the pics, Adam. Sometimes simple is good, especially when you're not feeling well.

I'm curious, what is the story on the last pic?

To be honest, Im not entirely sure. Eastern won the game and I was ready to get a shot of them celebrating but they never did. They formed their line and walked past Corbin and then when they were done they just started forming this circle. Then the cheerleaders got in on it and it started getting bigger and bigger. At that point, I realized I wasnt going to get the shot I wanted and I still had a 90 minutes drive back home so I just snapped that and left.

Pretty much exclusively the 70-200. I used the 16-35 near the end. I need to buy a 300.

i wouldn't have guessed. I've been shooting basketball for the local paper too, either at 1600 or 3200 on a 30D. Good enough quality for the paper, but I hate looking at them on the screen.

Yeah when I saw the 6400 ISO shots in the paper you would have thought they were 100. You cant see any noise.

CMYK dot printing pretty much hides any noise there might be. half the time you'll wind up with a fringe because it didn't line up properly as the sheet went through the printer... basically free license for a photographer to shoot at 11ty iso with impunity. :hs:
