Getting a Keltec P3AT .380 nice small little fella.

    will be here thursday :wiggle:

I know they arent the hottest thing, but I've shot them quite a bit, and I like them, nice small gun fit in my pants or laptop bag without issue.

Having shot both, the .380 has a bit more of a kick to it, the .32's I didn't talk about (but listed in title) 1 of each for my mother and sister, and my dad got the .32 as well, he was going to get the .380 as well but I had gotten the last one they had in stock.

Overall, a bit more kick, still feels great though. If you want a true upgrade in keltec minis, go with the 9mm, it only holds 5 or 6 rounds, I can't remember, but if thats not enough to stop him, you have issues with your aim.

By what standards? It has the addition of a slide release, but is otherwise the exact same gun.

Btw. on those keltecs, be sure to test fire them with at least 100 rnds, and do a "fluff & buff" on the feed ramp to ensure a more reliable feed on hollow points.

I think thats the smart approach, its like buying milsurps. Buy a bunch and keep the best condition (or the one that works if its KT) :big grin:

I hear that the ruger is made with a little bit of the preserved body of bill ruger.

Have you compared the two? Although it's the same basic design of the P3AT, the Ruger is made much better, it has an overall better feel. 300 rounds through mine...bang every time. No "fluff and buff" needed. I love it when people who have never seen lot alone feel an LCP and compare it to a P3AT talk shit.

I wish they make an LCP in 9mm, I'd be all over that shit. Right now I'm pocket carrying a Kel-tec PF9.

They could, but it would hold 4 rounds.

Then make it PF9 size, which is fine for pocket carry, but holds 7+1.

or you could spend a thousand bucks one the thuper awesome rorabaugh 9mm, that is basically the same size as the P3AT, but a lot heavier.

I pocket carry mine all the time in a Uncle Mikes #4, works fine for me. Even loaded it's pretty light, and very thin. For me it was either the PF9 or the J-frame, and I wanted more than 5 rounds, so I went with the PF9. Pocket carry options kind of suck, you either get a snubby, or a caliber I'm not very fond of (.380). There isn't much in the middle for pocketable semi-auto's, either a cheaper kel-tec like I bought or something that is $600+. :hs:

But the cylinder is all round and crap, so I have to wear it in my SOB holster, since my pants aren't loose enough to fit it inside the waistband.

Now, I just need to get some boxes of ammo and go fire a few boxes through it.

be sure to "fluff and buff" before you put any rounds through it....oh yeah I didn't have to do that with my LCP btw :)

Why buy such poorly engineered guns in such a silly caliber?
I'm not trolling, but these are the people that brought us the Tec-9
    Keltecs are drop guns.
