    Here is what happened:
Sra A decided he didn't want to live anymore so he went out back and shot himself. He left his wife and child behind.
His co-workers and friends were all sitting around somewhere, mourning his death when SrA B demonstrates how SrA A killed himself. He pulled the trigger and the gun was loaded. He is now dead. The people who were there to witness the second shooting are all friends and knew both deceased members very well. Life Skills has set up a temp shop in my building.

The second shooting is being considered accidental.

Small Arms 101 - Always check said weapon prior to handling.

    Sad situation though.

must be a 101st thing, cause my Sgt that was from there argued that with me, so we started stabbing each other with it on. When it finally went through on like the 3rd try, it went between the ribs and vest, not even leaving a cut. Moran got lucky he didnt get a punctured lung.

They are saying the gun just went off, but everyone knows guns don't fire by themselves.

The rumor that SGLI will not pay for a suicide or self inflicted fatal wound is a myth. As long as you were in good standing with the military at time of death, SGLI will pay.

Survivors Group Life Insurance (SGLI) is group term life insurance for members of the armed forces. Active duty members are automatically insured for $200,000, unless they opt out in writing. SGLI is a better choice than many other insurance plans because it pays out in situations, such as death by war or suicide, where other plans do not. Additionally, SGLI protects you while you're on active duty, and for the first 120 days after you separate.

The SSgt that knew both guys and witnessed the accidental death of the second was still covered in blood when he recounted the series of events to the leadership of the squadron. They didn't want to let him out of their sight immediately following the events.
