I figure get it while they are still remotely close to being available :o

I would have gone with a tantal and swapped parts around to get what I wanted, but it would have resulted in the same end cost, and I wouldn't have gotten the goodies that come with the ORF kit :o

$470 for a 80-90% kit. Bore is brand new and only a little wear on the bolt and carrier. Came with a bayo, strippers, dropcase, oil bottle and cleaning kit all of which were new.

    470 shipped.

The shit that I would have had to get to change the tantal into what I wanted would have been aFCG (I hate the left side selector), a rear trunnion and triangle stock (since I don't like the wire on the tantal. When I fondled one at SHOT I decided it was a no go). All that would have come to 150. Sure, I could have gotten some back from selling the other tantal stock, but not alot.

Not going to be getting it built for a while though, I've gotten start getting pistols soon before CA decides to ban them all :wtc:. CZ-97, -75, -52, Hi-power, 2-3 1911s, 686, j-frame, TT-33, PX4 (or some other poly gun with a rail for HD). All those are going to come before any more rifles get completed :o

I have a couple of tantal/romy sidefolders here in my bin dont care much for them either. Tantal stocks are only worth about $50 I think.

    I don't, I just know a smith who's work I like (He built my Romy G).

AKs I always figured I *could* learn to build it myself and then build it, but especially since I am in CA and replacing an AK would cost $$$$, I'd rather get it done right the first time.

If the kit looks that good, I'm sure a complete rifle will be that much nicer. :bigthumb:
