Does anyone have any tips or ideas on keeping your amps cool when playing in the summer. Down here in Texas its going to get pretty hot so the ambient temperature won't help much. I welcome ANY ideas of things that you may have tried. Mounting my amps to metal has crossed my mind, perhaps this would work as an extension of the actual casing and aid in dissipating heat, I also thought of making holes on the bottom covers big enough to mount a bigger fan under my amp, since I'm out of my warranty anyways. Thanks.

i had a black car with no ac once, it had 5 amps in the trunk. 1st make sure you have enough clearance for the amp, some amps do ok with just an inch, but if it's a inefficent amp(like rockford=big heater) then 3 to 5 inches should be enough. my step-up was incased, it had 2 cooling fans/amp(1=intake 1=exhaust).

just try using more fans if you already have one.
