Keep lifting after dislocating finger?

    I dislocated my pinky finger at the middle knuckle yesterday while snowboarding. I put it back in place, its just swollen and hurts when I move it.

    Think its ok to lift on it? I can make a fist, but it hurts a bit.

    not sure, haven't made it to the gym, but I imagine it would. however, if i open fist it, i can probably manage :dunno:

    you have done some soft tissue damage. it's probably in your best interest to see a physician.. that being said, he'll probably just tell you to buddy-tape it and use pain as your limiting agent.

    I buddy taped it when i got back home. I'm gonna try and lift and see how it goes, another reason for me to go back to BB bench

    just do lifts that do not involve using it at all...thats what i had to do fucking up my fingers and wrist... and if i would try to use it again quick i just in jure myself even longer. when fully healed strength came back eventually... just not to have it immediately hurts your ego if anything

    When I've gotten sprained/smashed fingers in the past, it's hurt like a son of a bitch to grab the bar.

    I lifted chest and it wasn't as bad as i thought. my grip was lacking but i had spotter help me with the lift off and then i just open palmed it. got a decent workout in.
