MMAWeekly.com has learned that Joe "Diesel" Riggs will now step in to face Matt Hughes on just three weeks notice for the UFC Welterweight Championship. Karo Parisyan, who talked to MMAWeekly Radio just days ago told MMAWeekly.com "My injury is just getting worse and worse. I wanted to give the UFC as much time as possible, but it's not getting any better."

Same here. Riggs is a beast at 170. I hope he looks better against Hughes than he did against Lytle.

riggs looked pretty slick against lyttle but he's not goint to get a takedown on hughes, not only that but hughes is just as big as riggs is

I agree. He has really developed his judo well and turned into a well based fighter.

I've never even seen Riggs fight. What style of fighter is he? His wins are pretty much even between KO's and Submissions.

I don't think he will ever be the best in the division though just because of how GSP is improving. No matter what I see GSP being the future title holder and keeping it for a while. He seems to have an extremely good work ethic and he's very intelligent.

I've only seen a few of his fights. He did pretty well, but I wasn't overly impressed like I was with GSP.

Karo's last fight against Mat Serra was fucking sick. He looked fedoresque....just kept pounding away, going tfor takedowns, coming back undaunted after getting rocked.

I think with a little time and a possible drop down in weight....he could be a helluva champ.

matt is too big and strong for karo...riggs can match his strength but can't match his technique...GSP can match both and then some
