Anyone fire one? Im looking at a compact, this thing looks like the devil
Gun Broker has em for $530
The Kahr .40s have a respectable thump. The 9's shoot quite nice though. Either would be a good choice, but i'd probably take the 9mm.
great backup guns.
the only thing is the trigger is tremendously stiff unless that has been changed in the past couple of years. it just screams, "are you really fuckin sure you wanna pull the trigger, bitch?"
you rbest bet is to check one out at a local dealer or better yet, rent one at a local range, to ensure it's really the right gun for you.
there isnt much you can adjust on a plastic framed gun to fit your hand if it doesnt fit out of the box.
my neighbor has a pm40... the trigger isnt THAT stiff, it's just REALLY long with a fairly heavy pull.
worst gun i have ever owned. to damn small first off almost impossible to control, not very accurate. FTF and FTE numerous times and sometimes it wouldn't even go into battery after putting a new mag in. so i got rid of it and bought a glock 36 now this thing is way better then the kahr in every area. i will never reccomend or buy anohter kahr.
I've shot a few kahrs, not really my thing. I'll stick with my glock.
Thing is, my local ranges suck... drift you forget I live practically in the middle of no where
Yeah I seen they also had the 9mm version, but just by what I can find on Gun Broker, seems like its the same price if not more, 40 cal is bigger then 9mm yes?
9mm Luger = .355" OD
.40S&W = .400" OD
i kinda like the kahr mk9. its a super compact 9mm. and i mean this thing is fucking SMALL.
the only downside is that it bites pretty hard because of a powerful cartridge in such a compact frame
Im considering a Kahr K9 for my carry gun, ive been talking to lots of dealers and they consider it to be a quality gun and offers some good features, 3.5" barrel. and decent size grip, yet slim and compact, all metal construction etc.
funny the only people bashing them here are glock sackriders... all the dealers that liked the Kahr didn't like Glocks....
Never could justify the cost of a Kahr after comparing it to a P11.
