i know its going to be all manual focus but thats of because it will really onlybe used for low light level stuff.

I'll admit having to manual focus kind of sucks, but the in focus indicator in the viewfinder still works, so it's not bad. You just get used to autofocus and then all of a sudden it you can't use autofocus :noes:

Yeah the D40 takes a little getting used to with the manual focus, i wish it was like my canon... circle cut in half horizontally that when not focused are offset from eachother, you know your focused when the meet seemlessly... its a great way to do it. its very hard to do it by eye with the d40... i find myself just switching to autofocus. :o

Hell yeah. Why they don't make split focus screens anymore is beyond me. I loved that shit in my Dad's old Nikon.

yeah i don't know what that is :dunno: i checked the other pictures from different angles, but it doesn't show anything purple... the exposure on that is 20 seconds so some color may have creeped into the lens over that time that you don't see in the picture itself.

    It's probably just flare.

I don't know what it is with Nikons, but the tones are always too warm OOTC when doing skin or interior shots it seems.
