no, that isn't serial 818  its just photoshopped to remove the last 3 digits.

So far, I have only gotten 40 rounds through it (x55 is to damned expensive :wtc:), but even with the Wolf Gold/Prvi stuff, it is accurate as fuck.

Oh, and USGI grease is ftw for these.

that is why I love that picture.

I got it for 225 OTD from the fun show. That is a little higher than free state prices, but FFL fees for any of the cheaper ones would have pushed it higher than about 250, so this was a good deal.

everyone needs atleast one cheap to feed milsurp (x54 or 8mm) and one expensive to feed milsurp (x55 or .303).

Plus, straight pull bolt + watching the rounds eject over your head and to the left behind you = ftw.

honestly, I would say try some fun shows first. You can probably get a better deal (once you count in shipping and everything). for sites though, AIM has them, and century arms does as well.

    I want a Steyr M95 before I get a K31.

Something about a painful and almost unmanagable recoil attracts me.

    I have 3 :big grin:

Most of the k31's today are being imported by samco so usually it doesn't matter.

If anyone would be interested in a beech k31 let me know I think I might trim the herd back down to 2, probably be looking for like $160 + shipping.

The sling doesn't come with it. The stock was originally pretty heavily stained and nasty looking. I've wood bleached it back to looking rather nice again, used several base coats of tru-oil to seal the stock, and then amber shellac as a top coat for the proper color and authentic look. The blued parts have been cold blued where there was no finish left.

I'm already thinking I'll probably regret it in a couple years when you can't buy them anymore :big grin:

I think it has to be zero degrees out, and you have to be burning a mosin stock for heat to appreciate that kind of stuff :o
