    I dunno... 4cd-air probably has way better certs and will eventually accomplish more :mamoru:

    I think he spilled over though because in these pics he looks a bit smoother than the guys beside him. He is still fucking insane though. I think he weighs 10-15 lbs more than last year at another contest's weigh in and he only lost like 5 lbs in this dieting phase.

    I think he placed in the top 10 but he wasn't in the top 5. Considering the fact that he has a full-time job not relating to fitness, a nutrition/supplement company, the fact that he still lifts heavy as fuck and that it's his first competition such as this one, I still think he did great.

    I said that because I looked at the jobs the other ones in the SHW had and they mostly were in the fitness industry.
    He failed in the last 24 hours anyway...

    He's also sponsored by Optimum Nutrition so he travels frequently for that and as far as I know he was still preparing people for shows the entire time. Like Christophers said though, I'm sure he wouldn't be one to make excuses.

    This is a post from Muscle Mayhem detailing all the shit he's been through in the last 10 weeks:





    "While I'm here, I think I'll do a little re-cap of some of the insanity of this prep.
    I've done a LOT of traveling the last 10 weeks of the prep....so I began to think of all the airports I've visited.
    Here's a run-down of what airports I've had the luxury of seeing during this prep:

    Detroit Metro (home base)

    Chicago O'hare

    Chicago O'hare (two different trips)

    Chicago Midway

    Dallas Forth Worth

    Oklahoma City

    Newark New Jersey

    Ottawa Canada (over 2 hours in customs...if you can avoid having the same name as someone with a warrant for their arrest...I recommend you do it....and to the "Justin Harris" who is 'wanted......' thanks for all the hassle! lol)

    Pheonix Arizona

    Memphis

    And finally Las Vegas!

    All but one of those has been since 10 weeks out as well...


    My wife passed her first set of Dental boards on July 8th....while I was in Texas. lol
    She also made the Dean's list once again, and is now going through her clinicals for the next 2 years until she's officially a Doctor of Dental Surgery!

    I've accepted a position writing nutrition articles for www.t-nation.com

    I've accepted a position as "Nutritional Editor" for FXM Great lakes fitness extreme (www.xtrememusclemag.com)

    I've been sponsored by www.elitefts.com for powerlifting (started at the same time as my prep started)

    I've shot "in the Trenches" with www.musculardevelopment.com

    And have prepped a few dozen people through www.troponinnnutrition.com

    We've also began laying the ground work for a Troponin Nutrition seminar, and subsequent DVD (that's to Shelby for all the work there)

    Of course, I'm with Optimum Nutrition and American Bodybuilding still, and put in 40 hours a week at William Beaumont Hospital.

    Around 10 weeks out, I built a deck off the back of our house (which can be seen in some of my 2 week out photos), and around 6 weeks out, I started a deck off the front of our house....let's just say that one isn't 'quite' finished yet. lol

    I think that's about it....I'm very lucky to have had such great opportunities, especially being an amateur.
    But, it has been a very hectice 4 months, and I'm excited to get back to normal, and being able to devote more of myself to my family again."

    He looks good in the locker room to me, but then again I never really enjoyed the waterless look in bbing competitions.

    well, I just read that he is anti-diuretic and he was going to do the show diuretic free, props to him for trying to be healthy, but it cost him for sure.

    Yeah, I thought this guy was in great condition too. There are other SHW though, there was one black guy who was in great shape during the prejudging but I didn't really checked him out later on.

    Yeah, well, he doesn't really train like a BBer so... His plan what to be contest ready 4 weeks out, which he was, and he was trying to hold as much water as he could (he was taking a bunch of sodium and creatine) during this time so that he would just have to dry out for the contest and he wanted to up the cals/carbs a bit during the last month so that he could come in filled in.

    I just like the fact that he put on 15 lbs of muscle in a year while staying that lean. There were comparison pics of him on another board but it was restricted to members though. I recall seeing some pics he took almost each month during the year and you could see his bloated face on some of them :rofl:

    Good point. He mainly follows a DC training routine and focuses on compound lifts during the off season but I'm not exactly sure to what extent he avoids lifts for aesthetics purpose during the off season. I think I spoke too fast though as he mainly is a powerlifter in my mind.
