Holy shit.  to :ugh: :ugh: to :wtc: :wtc:

Man, what a fucked up series...

Might not be as "deep" as people claim it to be, but I loved everything about the series. The last two episodes were :ugh: :ugh: until I saw the movie and watched them again, and saw how it tied in to the movie.

:bigthumb: to the series, finally watched anime's crowning masterpiece.

    Still, my list is

    1) Cowboy Bebop
    2) Samurai Champloo
    3) Evangelion
    4) Berserk

Can anyone recommend me a good anime series to watch next?

to keep in with your 26 epi series list i'd say Trigun (kinda like a western), Scrapped Princess(kinda midevil), RahXephon(very similar to eva). Full Metal Alchemist is 52 eps...but it's in a class of it's own.

    a few reasons:
1)it a pretty damn original storyline, no giant robots, no protagonist who has issues with females...
2)Almost all the episodes tie together, you might watch and ep and think it's a filler...only to find out 20 eps later it was pivotal in storyline.
3)Every thing is explained very well...things that you intially think of as plot holes are explained in time.
4)It's really sad somtimes, tear jerking even, and other times is comical.
    5) the character design is well done.
    6) It asks really deep questions, pretaining to God/religion, what humans can and cannot do.

These are all subjective, i know. I promise you if you watch at least til episode 26 you'll be hooked...But the first few episode are really building up for the next season. Its seasons 3 and 4 that are amazing, you're left wanting more and more. I finshed this whole series in 3 days...i couldn't stop, it was finals week at school too.

^ This was actually my first "real" or whatever anime I watched, SUBBED about 6 years ago... it was in the worst video format ever but still got to finish it. I've been neglecting to redl it and watch it over again now that better qualities have been out for a while.

its A HELL of ALOT better than NGE or Gundam Seed (or pretty much any other generic mecha anime with a :greddy: main character)

Just watch until you see Ed pass his examination and meet up with Tucker (I think it's about episode 7). That's when I got really hooked .

I always thought Trigun was a good series. Kinda depressing like Neon Genesis though. Watch it in Japenese too, it's funnier.
Oh and watch Akira if you haven't. If you don't you'll go to hell.
