Old comp finally died on me, and is too out of date to only upgrade the dead parts, so had to build a new PC. Sucks to have to do this immediately following Xmas season :hs: . All from newegg, In summary:

    $100 - Western Digital 1TB Hard Drive 7200 rpm
    $200 - Intel Core i5-750 2.66Ghz quad core CPU
    $170 - ASUS motherboard
    $93 - Corsair 2x2GB RAM (DDR3 1600)
    $215 - EVGA Geforce GTX 260
    $27 - Samsung CD-DVD burner
    $60 - New Case
    $100 - Antec 650W power supply

    Total: $950

My friend bought a new laptop in order to get ready for starcraft 2...this was 3 years ago.

Diablo 3 isnt even scheduled for 2010.

Core I5 in general lets you run cheaper memory (2 sticks instead of 3). But really the price dif isn't that much considering he dumped 100 bucks for the memory he chose. If going anything in the new intel series i'd go I7 or nothin.
