Car is a 1989 Plymouth Colt turbo. Timing belt skipped so i pulled the motor and installed a 4g63 out of an eclipse. Still working a few bugs out but the car seems to run great. Heres a few pictures, what do you guys think.

nice swap. I used to want to buy my friends beater Colt and do a swap. They make awesome sleepers, no one expects to get raped by a Colt.

already has a 16g, open o2 dump, 2g downpipe, exhaust, and k&n filter. Other than that my only plans are maybe a 2g maf, larger injectors, and a walbro, and then ill turn up the boost.

What 16g? Small/Big/EvoIII? How about 264's or a 264/272 combo? You must be using DSMLink?

small 16g, stock 1g cams, stock engine management. Eventually might get a keydiver chip put in the colt ecu since they are all eprom, but in the mean time the 90 4g63 ecu works just fine.

Because the 4g63T is one of the best four cylinders ever produced and will handle tons of power on the stock block? :wiggle:

Awsome swap by the way... 3 of my freinds from the local Club DSM chapter have the swapped colts, the ones trapping at 130mph doing burnouts all the way down the track. It is one of the fastest cars on the highway around here, AMAZING shit.

Eclipsed: the potential of these cars is limiteless. I dont need to do 100 mph burnouts, Ill be happy once im fighting for traction through 1st and 2nd.

Dude, I just noticed yours is the same color of Colt as I was working on last night, fixxed the big, might be taking it out to Norwalk today. Its simi gutted Colt like yours, stock 6bolt, 14b with o2 dump at 8psi, K&N and home made exhaust. Its also got some nifty rims we picked up for dirt cheap. :)

Error 404 : awd not found

:o better get some sticky tires and pray you dont destroy your axles :big grin: Fwd dsm's are bad enough about traction, and your taking away > 500#'s

Those swaps are quick as hell if you can get the power to the ground.

Technicly the 4g63tb1 is the full engine code for a 90 6bolt 4g63. The 4g63t is the turbo one, where the 4g63 is now, however, most poeple just say 4g63 anyways and mean the turbo version of the engine.

yeah, i have come to need a 4door automatic car, and with my current living situation Im only allowed 1 parking space. So if an oter is interested in the car I will cut you a deal.
