just started working out

    So i'm joining the USAF and leaving for boot camp Oct. 9th. for the past few months i've been going to the gym. I've noticed that when i do situps(on the workout ball and the decline) that near my last rib on the right side it feels like something shifts. doesn't really hurt just moves oddly and it doesn't happen on the left side. anyone ever hear of this or know what it is? thanks

    My right hip pops and shifts when I do leg lifts. Shit happens.

    I know the feeling. When I would do abs at first I'd feel that same thing -- like an ab or rib is shifting. I don't feel it anymore, and didn't do anything in particular about it.

    I'm not saying it's not a sign of something bad or incorrect form, but when my abs and core strengthened it stopped happening.

    That "popping" feeling happened to me too. Not painful, just weird and kind of odd, never bothered me enough to really care. Stopped for me both times at about a week back into the gym.

    My shoulder pops when I do dumbell flies. It's so awkward to the point where I stopped doing them :dunno:
