I haven't ran in several years. Started back on June 1st and have run one mile (not a lot, I know) every day except two. For the most part I have had zero pain but a few days ago my knees started hurting bad. My brother (he runs alot) told me to take a day or two off. I did and the first day back, no pain. But I ran tonight and th epain is back. Should I not run daily. Should I just run every otehr day??/ I'm running in my neighborhood on the street most of the time or at a small park with a paved path around it. I have some new ascis shoes and inserts a Dr. suggested to me a while back. Is there any thing I can try to get through the pain?? I am considering either joining a local gym so I can use their ellitical or maybe getting a mountain bike. Both would be far less hard impact on my knees but both cost $$. Any suggestions?
