We were doing 1-3 rep max and I did 460x2 twice, couldn't get the 3rd rep both times I tried. :wtc: It would have been a little over a 500lbs max if I would have got the 3rd rep.

It was the 1st time i had ever done anything other than a one rep max and I am not really sure if I like it or not yet. Never really been a fan of them. If I remember right this is a either right at or it is a PR for me.

BTW i am 6'3'' 228 for those who will want to know.

So you didn't actually squat 482 thats just what the calculator said?

It's hard to say what your real 1RM would be. Probably in the 480-500 range?

    did 460x2

yeah if I had to say what my 1 rep would be i would say about 480-485. With the season coming up quickly 1-3 rep maxs are just a safe way to get an idea of where people are

yeah, calculators dont really mean anything... i know kids that could triple a certain weight and not hit a single with 10lbs more

    either way, good job

but still begs the question, why did you make that the thread title if you didnt actually squat it?

like i said 1st time i have done more than 1 rep max and it was just so no one gets hurt before the season

this is why i have never really been a fan of maxing this way

Yeah whats funny is you're more likely to get hurt doing heavy reps than just singles :p

    A friend of mine, who's 17, can squat 475x3-5. He's a freak. I wish I could handle that weight.
