That was actually pretty funny, so I am going to pretend that you didn't really mean that. If you did, please don't tell us.

Nice bike, Vtec!! 600's are track fucking monsters in my book. Best of both worlds....even though liter-class twins own your ass.

I am talking out of my ass, no debate there....I just happen to ride a liter twin on the street, so I figured I would stir the pot. I got a bit of respect for the RR, a few friends own them, and they are deceptively fast in the twisties, and not too shabby on the flats either.

I actually ran a friend's 600RR from a second gear roll on a "closed" bit of "track" a few weeks ago on my modded SV1K, and I walked his ass pretty bad....until about 130mph. Then he was GONE. The top end on those things still amazes me. :eek3: :eek3: :eek3:

He and I trade bikes occasionally for fun, and we both get all giddy and shit riding each other's bikes since they are such different machines. He drabbles on and on about torque curves and rev range and power wheelies, and I just keep on babbling about top end and razor steering. Two fast bikes, both an absolute hoot on the street, but two totally different experiences. I wish I had the money to own both....

sv1k doesn't have enough top end to beat up on a 600rr?

I laugh at my friends on 600's, untill we get to the tighter corners. :o

Track days for now, we're expecting our first born anytime so no racing until September doh!

Vtwin and inline 4 are complete different in regard to powerband, even with the same CC's. RC51's are in no mean slow, just a lot depends on the rider. On my 600RR, I have to have a lot of entry speed to build enough momentum to exit faster. That's one way for me to make up the lack of lowend grunt. :)

My streetbike is an Aprilia Mille R. My trackbike is a Yamaha R6. The two bikes couldn't be any more different in character or flavor. I swear that the only thing that they have in common is a motor and two wheels... :o
