Dont like it at all. Although it does hold like 14 rounds, it jammed via FTF about 20 times out of 50, and accuracy was terrible. I can VERY consistantly put 9mm rounds on the paper, grouped well, but with the Sig, it seemed like I was shooting very poorly. I need to rethink what I will buy for a carry gun.

don't judge pistols based on the experiences with a rental.

95% of the time, it's not the gun.

No places around here rent guns so I've got no experience with them, but I imagaine there probably not the best maintained weapons.

Rentals are the best way to judge a gun, because you know they've been abused like hell on a daily basis with countless thousands of rounds through them and if they still perform flawlessly, then you've got yourself a winnar.

How the fuck would you know? Ever shot one? From what I gather on here you haven't and you change your mind every day about what you are going to get.

How exactly do rentals work?? are you allowed to rent them form a gun shop and then take it to the range?? Or are you only allowed to rent it and keep it in the same building??? (my local range doesn't have squat to choose from)

My local indoor range has a whole bunch of different guns that belong to the "house." You can rent them for a small fee. I think $6.00 for rentals. Not per gun, but you pay $6.00 and can rent as many different guns as you want, you can just take them into the firing range one at a time.

Rentals were the sole decision on my handgun purchases. I was going to get a glock before I ever fired one, because they are known to be relaible. Once I put 50 down the barrel of a G22 I knew they were not for me (grip angle.)

My range has an old Beretta 92F that probably has several hundred thousand rounds through it (at least 500k+) and it's still going strong. Rentals FTW.

I shot the 229 and I loved it. It felt perfect in my hand, and shot exactly where I could place it with my limited skill. I'd purchase one (or a 220/226, they all shoot fairly similar) if I could save up enough, but I think that since I'm not going to be outshooting the gun anytime soon, I'm gonna purchase a less expensive firearm for now.

.40 sucks until you get use to it. It's a good difference b/t .40 and 9mm.

I loved the Sig I rented though.

if a rental dosnt work right for me, i sure as hell wont trust one new in box....if anything a rental should work better than a new one, to a point.
this rental was freshly cleaned, and i gave it a quick once-over when i took it to the line. i will admit the thing felt fuckin amazing in my hand, and easy to shoot, but the accuracy did not comfort me, compared to my xd. but i do like the full metal frame....maybe i need to check some other sigs to compare

calm the fuck down noob. ive never shot a 40, and im not fond of them. ballistically, it seems pointless. either get a 9mm, or a 45. thats my opinion. 40s are not worth the cost
