If it makes you feel any better, I paid like $1499+tax for a D90, 18-105mm VR (kit lens), 55-200mm VR, and an extra en-el3 at Best Buy a few weeks ago :wtc:

The only upsides were I got interest free financing for 6 months and credit was the only way I could "afford" the camera before my vacation :hsd:

But so far the D90 has been  I just have to resist the urge to buy a battery grip, UW lens, 70-300 2.8, etc, because I still owe BB so much cash  I've resorted to selling random shit I don't use anymore on craigslist so I can get back out of debt and start getting more stuff for the camera. . .I mean stimulating the economy :bigthumb:

The grip's a necessity though... can't wait to mount one onto my 50d.

I know, I want one really bad :hs: I think I've about managed to sell some old subs on craigslist, which would be enough for the Nikon brand grip with a little left over. . .but I've been busting my ass for the last two days prepping walls and trim in my living room for fresh paint, and I could really use the extra cash for the paint supplies and lumber to build a new "built-in" entertainment center that would really give the room a facelift :hsd:

A part of me says "go get the lumber and make the room nice," but most of me is just thinking "fuck it, the grip doesn't require any hard work and I'll be able to do the camera toss!"

I know how you feel. I've been buying 9mm for my handgun any time I see it at wal-mart, which is probably an unnecessary expense at this point. I don't have a ton, but I have a few hundred rounds hoarded up. My IS300, camera, and girlfriend with expensive tastes have been the main drain on my wallet lately though :hs: I have a feeling she's wanting a ring soon too. . .this should be a good test of her patience

uggh. engagement rings are such a rip off. i've been down that road and didn't get married (thank god)

but yeah i have like 1200ish of 9mm and like 500 of .45.

i'm trying to sell the .357 revolver. no purpose. i carry the 9mm and the 45 is the party favor

Yeah, I really don't want to have to buy a ring right now and I really don't feel like getting married any time soon. I'm having a hard enough time accepting the fact that the gf is moving in with me, but once there's a ring on her finger it's going to be a little harder to tell her to move out :noes: If that's necessary, of course. . .

You're luckier than a lot of guys I know when it comes to .45, most of my friends are at <50 rounds and can't find more anywhere around here without paying 3-4x what its worth.

I think I have around 400 of 9mm, but I've got another couple hundred of empty 9mm brass that I need to get around to reloading.
