My name is Nick and I have a problem; I'm obsessed with horsepower. I have a 91 Integra with 419whp and recently my work has influenced me to give my "wrong wheel drive" hobby up for the "right wheel drive" hobby.

I bought this 472" BBC off my boss last year in hopes to find a chassis to put it in. Its a N/A 700hp motor and with a 3200lb combination, I should be able to turn 9.60s :eek4:.

After months of searching I finally came across this Camaro. I went and put $500 down on it and drive back to pick it up on Saturday or Sunday this week. Its currently a NHRA Super Street car and I'll run it in that this year and Super Pro on the weekend locally.
Pictures are obviously not me... But the one without the warkmark is how the how the car sits currently.

Should I sell my Integra or keep it for a good weekend street legal warrior? Eventually I want to twin turbo the BBC and run 7.90s and slower... but its only a ladder bar car and I guess its harder to dial the suspension in right...

Anyhow, enjoy :) I'm excited! 24 and soon to have a PRO license; I hope!

that integra is a good DD, maybe demod it a bit so its somewhat more mild (read better mpg) and then you can take your time working on the Camaro.

    Specs on Camaro stat! Suspension/steering/interior/drivetrain/etc.

RS front grille/lights on that thing would improve its looks (I was never a fan of the circle lights on those cars).

Not as lucky as you think....

I apologize not knowing everything about the car but here is the run down of what I saw and was told and most importantly, can remember haha:
Its a ladder bar car. Alden shocks in the rear. Maximum size slicks are 31.5" tall (not sure on the width). Its backhalfed. Certified for 7.50s till '09, It has Willwoods on all fours. Not sure on the front suspension. Glass fenders and hood, otherwise the rest of the car is metal. Car weighs 3100lbs with a SBC (I'll be using a BBC). Has 9 gauges (none of them being a tach lol) all liquid filled autometer gauges. I'm not sure what the converter is that I'm running but the tranny of course is a power glide. Hipster transbrake (cant remember the gearing) an aftermarket case (lol cant pronounce the name right now) (the tranny ran me $3500; its brand new; literally bulletproof until I turbo it :)) Comes with all the electronics to run a throttle stop. Has an air shifter as well... the list goes on as well as my learning. I have a lot of help with where I work (www.turbotechnologyinc.com) and I'm going to need it.

I'll keep the Integra around... its paid for, its still good for 11s (I've yet to hit that time; I liked to snap the axles right off last year; best time was 300hp @ [email protected] w/a broken diff, and I'd like prove this thing will run 11.49s so i can put that Art Morrison cage in that has been up in the attic at work forever. The Integra is far from my DD but could be however my little 92 Hatch that is bone stock with HIDs does the trick ROFL.
The only pictures I have of the Integra are kinda cheesey but I guess I'm not in OT or OTAH so I'll take my chances...

And I'm not lucky as you think... This has been an expensive project that I've been wanting to do for a long time. Its been my life for the past 10 years full time. I'm just about to make my dreams become reality and its not going to be cheap. I would have liked to have done it in a Honda but I think its time to really be real here...

I'll update the thread as I go... Pictures of the car and motor installed later on (I pick it up this weekend; only have made a deposit on it!)

    Did I forget anything?

Well I got the car on Sunday.. its back at the shop... Anyone have a good suggestion for a converter and powerglide for a 700hp motor w/ a 3280lb total weight vehicle? This is all a new language to me now :/

Nice '69, and it should fly when you're done.

Although I'm not an import guy, the Integra looks fun.

I'm 24... Finished building the Integra when I was 22ish and then I perfected it for the track (or at least tried). But like we got into another thread... It wasn't apealing to break every time down the track (or at least close to every time). I'd have such bad reactions times because I was so nervous when I was leaving the line lol.:x: "am I going to break, am I am I?!?!?"

I'm not sure a '69 with a decent big-block is going to be more reliable, but it may be.

Is the Camaro anywhere near street-legal? A vid of that thing going to the store after you get it running would be pretty funny.

Are you gonna use it in FF4 and put a fake turbo on it?

No they wanted a Chevelle for one.

Its not street legal. Def. a truck and trailer deal. I just want my pro license :)

The BBC will be much more reliable then the Integra... were not talking a 5k rolling chassis here... this thing is ready to go with all the good parts. I got a better break down of the engine:
    Callies Crank
    Corilla rods
    JE 14:1 pistons

Hey, who would have known, Dart heads :) Dart Intake manifold.. 1200CFM carb (dont recall the brand)

I had to get rid of that sexy oil pan though and get something with the stock frame :( now I have this big ugly POS Milodan one... oh well. :(

I'll have pictures when we drop her in this weekend :)

Well We got her in today. Car sits alot better now. All I need now is the phenolic spacer for the carb. Spark plug wires, fuel line to the carb from the regulator, the powerglide and converter still have to be installed, radiator hoses, remount the fan... Just misc odds and ends :) :) cant wait... Integra is back out of the shop and at home :( pooor thing :wtcd::sadwavey:
