Picked it up today  :
glad to see you made the right decision and went without the comp
The Glock 19 is a fine bitch.
Yup decided against it. I'm in love with this thing, gonna put a few hundred rounds through it tomorrow at my buddies farm.
Time for a new AV pic
Ugh my pics are too shitty of Res. Gotta wait till the g/f is home from school...in May!
Welcome to the club
What a perfectly balanced gun.
Picked up 300 rounds of winchester range ammo today 13 bucks for 100. Putting it through the paces tomorrow
get some new sights ASAP
Yea, trying to decide which I want.
I'd like to get some where the front/rear are different colors but I'm having trouble finding a set that comes like that...I don't want to have to buy two sets.
Thanks for the insight, I was really looking for red rear and green front. But I'll probably have to compromise.
I suppose I wouldn't mind it, but I just thought the red/green would be a better contrast.
Green/Green is the best combo. They're brighter and last longer.
I know what you mean though, I initially though I wanted green rear/yellow or orange front... after reading up on night sights, I found out that's not ideal at all.
Both Trijicon and Meprolight offer different combos though, but they highly recommend green/green.
And after getting them and having them installed on my gun, I see what they mean.
I prefer either XS big dots of Meprolights. The Trijicon vials just seem so small. Also at least with Meps and likely other 3 dots, they make the front larger/brighter to draw your attention.
I didn't like Trijicon's either, when I saw them in person. I went with Meprolights.
I may try XS Big Dots next. Not sure yet though.
I was looking at the big dots too. It will be a few weeks till I can afford a set anyways so I have some time to make an informed purchase.
Congratulations on your purchase!
Can't wait to move, I'll be able to carry it.
I guess neither Trijicon nor Meprolight know what they are talking about then, because that's what was recommended to me by both.
Lol, ya. It's all personal preference. If you practice and can index your gun as you draw the dot mixup is very unlikely. Also the brighter/bigger front dot helps.
