A&P Just paid $70 to rent a tripod

    $40 + $30 shipping for it to meet me in Moab, Utah.

    The alternative? Take my own? Sure... and check it on the plane for like $50 bucks. Hope it arrives :ugh:

    i packed mine in my checked luggage when traveling to the caribbean..

    Sooooo you posted why you chose a more sensible and financially viable option to a lesser alternative? Awesome. :)

    Just paid $10 to get a cab ride downtown to the bar and back to my place. The alternative? Drive myself? Get drunk? Drive back? Die?

    yeah i want to carry on though. each leg we have to change planes.

    direct flight is like 98% chance of luggage arriving. connections is like a nice 40% :rofl:

    why not just ship your tripod to the hotel, or wherever you're staying in Moab? Then ship it back before you leave?

    I always carry mine on, just attache it to your backpack or rollaway and they never say a thing

    well shipping it would prolly be like $40 round trip. the one i'm renting with ballhead is better anyway :dunno:

    wow i was told it couldnt be carried on... due to its resemblance to a gun
