they aren't meant to be competition sights. they're fast acquisition sights. in normal light, low light, or no light, it's easier to get the sights on target with XS sights than with anything else

I like those figure 8 ones that I think yar recommends. I can't think of what they're called though.

Im pretty sure I could Yegar a gun with no sights and he could hit the target at 7yds you shoot enough you just learn to index the gun

And when I had them i didnt find them fast

some do.. but they're larger than most sights so if you're shooting at a tiny target at 50yds (instead of a man most likely within 10yds), the big dot might make it hard to get precisely on the center of the target

I had a huge different going from trijicon night sights on my m&p to a big dot

I could acquire and reacquire the target so quickly with the xs big dot that my friend thought I was just wildly rapid-firing

problem with most stock sights (and the warren sights) for me is that it's so easy to lose the front sight behind the huge useless rear sight (especially in low/no light).

Ill agree there prob faster than 3dot, but any 2dot system will prob be the same as its basically the same concept

Low as in aiming like a SIG?

i was looking at other choices (heini strait 8, warren plain) but these are the same as the m&p im getting.

I like the simplicity of the XS with the low-cut rear so the rear can't block the front sight.

problem with most stock sights (and the warren sights) for me is that it's so easy to lose the front sight behind the huge useless rear sight (especially in low/no light).

Not to mention that someone who shots 10k+rounds a year can prob index just about everything.

Like I said there was that one shooter who took off his sights completely and was hitting human poppers are a 100yds

I had used them before I'd ever heard of him. My very first time using them I performed better than I had with standard glock night sights.

nearly everything falls into pure preference, so yep.

I mean I bet you could take the rear sight off and just index off your finger and front sight and hit center of mass 99% of the time
