Who the hell wastes their money on an OS whose host will never see an Active Directory domain or corporate deployment environment? I guess I could *really* use IIS and EFS support somewhere down the road. :ugh: :hsugh:

I don't really care either way, I can get any Windows OS I want free from my work as part of our volume licensing agreement. I certainly am not going to waste my time on that monstrosity known as Vista (i.e. ME meets the NT kernel :mamoru: ).

Dang. Anyway...are you upgrading ram yourself or buying it off the apple site. The apple site, 4 gb ram is like 800 $ but yourself is like 200$. I Agree with guy above of that being cheap, I got a stock imac 24 inch, and it cost 1799$.

Yeah, I got the RAM at Newegg since it's a customer serviceable part. I was $85.99 before a $15.00 rebate, so it was about $76.00 after shipping. Here's the link:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227247&Tpk=OCZ2MV6674GK

Even though it says its speed is PC5400, it is perfectly backwards compatible with PC5300; the motherboard will just clock it down to PC5300 speeds.

That being said, anyone interested in the Mighty Mouse or 320GB drive? I don't need either of these and will sell it for a good price. :x:

MacMall's sale ends tomorrow. I'll take the $334.47 savings over something bleeding edge.
