Just ordered a MacBook for my SO's bday, what should I do to set it up once I get it?

Personally I like parallels better for XP, VM is here to stay. However if you SO uses windows ALOT w/video stuff then bootcamp might be well warranted.

Updates, Mac Office?, google top 100 mac apps on chris pirillos page get more ideas there.

Grats on the purchase, hope they are happy.
