Xterras are cool, except for that new front fascia they came out with. Dying for the Pathfinder's 3.5 V6 too.

When I had my '93 Hardbody, I just about was fiending for a Supercharged Frontier ... in the process I found I hate my local Nissan dealership, everyone there is a prick. Let me know how it drives :)

I am looking at getting the new Frontier Crewcab. Is the Nissan Supercharger worth it?

I have an '01 S/C CC and love it. It isn't a dragster and it sucks down premium fuel, but it has enough kick for me and the S/C value package adds a lot of goodies that either aren't available on other comprable trucks or that you would have to pay through the nose for. Just my .02...

Same engine! The S/C whine is sick! I love it!

There is a really good frontier board to check out. Go to www.nissanfrontier.net

There is a link for forums on the left. Lotsa good info in there.

Still slow and good luck finding where the HP went since it is at such a high RPM.

The SC is defintately worth it. More power is always good, but its pretty good for a SUV. Does excellent off road. Here are some pictures of me in it breaking it in. :big grin:

    Awesome!

I hope you put a few coats of wax on it before "breaking it in", makes it a bit easier to clean.

Are those the tires it came with stock? They look knobbier than what my friend's '01 Xterra came with. Those pieces of crap got him stuck pretty good in deep snow last winter, had to rescue him with my Michelin shod Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Thanks man, yeah I had fresh wax on it, it was quite easy to clean :)

The Supercharged Xterras get knobbier tires then the others. All the other tires are pretty street limited....mine work great :)

    The 300ZX used a 2.5v6??
I thought the 3.0 that's in the Maxima was based on the 300ZX engine...

Im not a big fan of xterras, before they were slow, they arent fast with the s/c, they are competitive with the n/a competiton. But kudos, looks good, and nice to see someone offroading in thier SUV for a change! :blue:

I almost didn't justify this with a response. I can understand where you're coming from tho, what with both the Rav 4 and Kia winning Motor Trend's truck of the... hey, wait! THEY DIDN'T! OOPS!

    Read the sticky post :)
The principle of a supercharger is to not be on all the time, much like a turbo. He could have a wider range if the psi was adjustable.

If the S/C is there, why not utilize it all the time instead of just WOT. The car would have a lot more torque in the low end. Turbos are always on, its just that there is time when it is not making full boost (turbo lag).
